Scottish heather theme wedding invitations

This is a pretty collection of Scottish themed invitations and paper goods that I found from designer Carswell King. The designs are based around little posies of purple heather and white blossom, some on a grey background with a mock silver border and a band of lace, and others on a white background, one with the heather sprigs arranged in a heart shape. These are very stylish and professional, subtle with just a hint of colour from the heather. The set includes table number cards, stickers, envelopes, postage stamps (US only), paper serviettes or napkins.

Carswell also has some beautiful Robbie Burns night invitations and gifts, and I'm sure some of these could also be personalised for weddings.

A very pretty Boho themed wedding set

I must admit I had to look up Boho - Bohemian - but I was very attracted to the pale pink rose and feathers watercolour design. The collection includes all the RSVP, invitations, save-the-date card, but also matching postage (for the US only), address labels, envelopes and paper plates and napkins. It's a lovely arrangement of the pale pink roses with green leaves, with two dark feathers, one spotted and one striped, and clear black text on the white space beneath it. By Mousearte at Zazzle.

Vintage wedding designs, artist Marie Low

Vintage pansies wedding invitation close up
A close-up of part of the design
One of my more popular invitations is this purple corner design of pansies by watercolour artist, Marie Low, from my vintage shop, Past Impressions.

In an art nouveau style, the pansies are arranged around a panel that looks like a card on a cream or white background, with a formal script typeface in matching colours. The flowers are beautifully shaded with creamy white, blue, mulberry, plum and violet blue with green stems and leaves, and shadows over the panel.

The illustrations were copied from a lovely vintage book called "Through Woodland and Meadow", which has been my source for several other designs.
This design is available on invitations, RSVP cards, and a large selection of stationery and anniversary gifts including plates, cushions and pillows, clocks and tiles, all personalised with the names of the bride and groom. The collection link is shown on the right.

Another popular design is this pretty corner arrangement of forget-me-nots, by the same artist, also available on a variety of gifts and invitations. I also made this into a kaleidoscope pattern which makes an elegant tie for the groom, as well as a smart co-ordinating tablecloth to match the napkins and serviettes. For those on a lower budget or for a smaller party, I've included paper plates and serviettes in the collection as well as commemorative porcelain plates which are ideal as a wedding gift.

Other products can be made with any of these designs on request, by contacting me through my store links, found on the banner of each store.

Welcome to my new wedding designs blog

Fractal daisies wedding invitation set
The market is huge, where do you start? Are you looking for anniversary or wedding gifts, invitations, stationery sets? Floral, modern, chic, elegant, vintage, goth? Then you've come to the right place! A wedding is something you do only once (hopefully!) and understandably you would like everything to be right on the day. You may hire a wedding coordinator to help the day run smoothly, but invitations and design of associated items are definitely a matter of personal choice.

No problem, but the choice is immense, so I hope to help you by splitting designs into categories by color, theme and/or season. All of these designs are printed by Zazzle, where you can buy just one invitation to check that everything is fine.

Many designs also include matching essentials such as napkins, tablecloths, favor bags and boxes, anniversary commemorative gifts such as tiles, clocks and pillows (cushions), all equally suitable for bridal showers and engagement parties, not forgetting the initial engagement announcements and Save the date notifications - you'll find it all here!

My aim is to bring you the more unusual items, not the same as everyone else has - dare to be different! So let's go! Of course I'm going to start with some of my own designs.

First is this fractal design of very pale pink fractal daisies with red and yellow centers, in a curved spray on a pastel blue-green and lavender background.  The white text is in a handwritten type of script, and the collection contains favor bags invitation, rsvp card, wrapping paper, table number card and a wedding dinner menu.
